Webinars
Weekly free webinars explore topics of relevance to postgraduate research candidates. Held (almost) every Wednesday (8pm GMT + 8) for PhD candidates, and Tuesday (8pm GMT + 8) once a month for Masters candidates, our webinars highlight issues related to the postgraduate research journey; from supervisor relationship development to proposal writing, understanding research methodologies, editing academic writing, to defending your thesis at the viva voce. There is always a lively Q&A session afterwards, so feel free to come armed with questions.

Bootcamps
Our regular Bootcamps are a more serious affair. These online bootcamp webinars are designed as small group (12 pax max), interactive online development experiences, to help participants work through a specific issue related to their research journey. During the full day bootcamp we workshop various activities, discuss best practice approaches, outline core concepts and perspectives to embed them, and hear from guest speakers about their experience and viewpoints. We charge a nominal fee for these bootcamps, and participants walk away with loads of new ideas and confidence, an interactive e-book covering the day’s discussion, and a certificate of attendance. Bootcamps are held online over the weekend.
Upcoming Bootcamps
25 & 26 January 2025 | Success with Interviews & Focus Groups
22 & 23 February 2025 | Literature Review Mastery
22 & 23 March 2025 | Designing and Executing Mixed Methods Research

Special Interest Sessions
When special guest speakers or panelists are available to facilitate a session on a special interest topic, eg; a latest methodological development, issues of researcher mental health, new software, etc, we will facilitate an online special interest session. These are ad hoc in timing, and based upon current developments in the industry and availability of guest speakers.
Curated By Request
The Third Degree is available to run paid sessions on select topics ‘by request’ for either universities or groups of students based upon individual requirements. These can be run face-to-face, online, or in hybrid mode. We will also curate programmes and experiences to be tailor-made to specific learning objectives. To enquire about especially curated programmes to meet your needs, please contact Dr Craig J Selby at craig@ttd.education.
